Austin Aries made his way to the ring for a promo. Aries put over the TNA TItle as the thing every man dreams of holding and then introduced his Bound For Glory Series opponent Jeff Hardy. Once Hardy arrived in the ring, Aries praised him for winning the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
Bully Ray stormed to the ring and said Aries and Hardy are lucky. He said Aries is lucky because he knows damn well that he would have beaten him at BFG and taken the title. Ray said Hardy is lucky because he felt bad for him for some reason when he was attacked by Aces & 8s. “I took my eye off the ball for a second,” Ray said. “That’s why you beat me.” Ray said he’s been beating Hardy for 15 years all over the world.
Aries pointed out that he made Ray tap out the last time they wrestled. Hardy said he feels way better than he did on Sunday. He challenged Ray to a fight. Hardy took his shirt off. “I don’t fight…” Ray said before he was interrupted by Hardy’s music. Tenay said it’s official that Hardy would face Ray.

Sting makes his way to the ring and he is joined by Kurt Angle, Austin Aries, Bully Ray, Gunner, Jeff Hardy, Devon, Robbie E, Robbie T, A.J. Styles, Ken Anderson, and more.
Sting tells Aces and Eights that he told security to leave the gate wide open for them so he wonders where they are. It is amazing who comes together when the circumstances are what they are. He has a group of men who are ready to fight. Sting says that they will remember the list of victims who suffered at the hands of Aces and Eights. Sting says that the men in the ring are all ready to fight. The victims are ready to fight. The victims are ready to get revenge starting tonight. There is one victim who has had the cloud of doubt over them, but now the cloud is gone. Sting wants James Storm to come to the ring.
Storm says that Sting was right because the evidence did stack up. Last week, they jumped him, just like they jumped everyone else. Storm says that he has an idea. Why not turn this wrestling show into an ass whipping show tonight. Sting tells James that he is on the money tonight. He tells Aces and Eights that when they tried to intimidate Brooke Hogan, they poked a big bear. Sting says that Hulk Hogan is here tonight. Sting wants to know where Aces and Eights are.
A few of the men approach the ring through the crowd. Two men go to the ring and they are attacked by Kurt Angle and James Storm. Everyone else watches the attack. Sting wants to know if that is all they brought. Sting gives him the mic. The man says thank you and says that he just got patched in. They are in for a long, painful night. Sting hits him in the midsection and then Angle kicks him out of the ring. We go to commercial.
We are back and Sting’s music plays and he comes to the ring with Austin Aries, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Devon, Ken Anderson, Rob Terry, Robbie E, Gunner, Rob Van Dam, and more. Sting tells Aces and Eights that they said three and a half minutes, and they are waiting for them to come out. Sting says that the victims are ready. Sting says that they are not going to pull a no show again. The people in the Impact Zone want Hogan. Sting says that maybe they need an Aces and Eights chant.
We see some of the members of Aces and Eights come to ringside. We see more come to the ring and we have pandemonium in and out of the ring but the TNA roster is in control of things. The members of Aces and Eights try to hide their identities and then they start their retreat since they are badly outnumbered. We go backstage and we see Hogan and Storm fighting off some of the members of Aces and Eights. A.J. Styles joins in the attack. There is a brawl going on outside, but we see a few of the wrestlers alone in the ring. Aries with a suicide dive onto a few members of Aces and Eights. Then the other eight or ten try to go after Van Dam and Hardy.
We see a larger member of Aces and Eights clothesline Aries. They bring a part of the guardrail and put it on the turnbuckles. Aries is held to the guardrail and they hit his arm with a chair. They stand over Aries and Bully Ray makes his way to the ring and the members of Aces and Eights leave the ring. They somehow get to their motorcycles in seconds and leave the Soundstage.

The show kicked off with Austin Aries walking to the ring. Aries gloated over his victory at Hardcore Justice. Aries said he silenced the critics and he erased everyone’s doubts. Aries turned his attention to Aces and Eights and he said he refused to let Impact be held hostage. Aries vowed to enter and exit Bound For Glory as the TNA Champion.
Jeff Hardy interrupted Aries and he joined the champion in the ring. Hardy said he’s been chasing the TNA Title for the past year and he said he was going to win the BFGS. The two men agreed they would tear it up if Hardy wins. Hardy called out Aces and Eights for costing him his match last Sunday.
Bully Ray answered the call instead and he made a beeline for the ring. Ray called Hardy stupid. Ray affirmed that James Storm is behind Aces and Eights. Hardy said that ray makes some good points. Therein lies the problem with this angle.
Ray said he was going to win the BFGS and go on to become the new TNA Champion. Aries took an affront to this and accused Ray of leading Aces and Eights. Aces and Eights showed up on the big screen and Bane said Aces and Eights is all about luck and commitment. Bane said they would commit to making an Impact tonight.
Ray started to chastise Aries and Hardy but he was interrupted by the commercial break.
Aries, Ray, Angle, Hardy, Sting, and others stormed the ring to chase away Aces and Eights.

Austin Aries is on the phone arguing with someone about the contract for this weekend’s title match, and the camera guy asks him what’s up. Aries says he doesn’t know what’s going on, but they’re going to handle this like men and make sure there’s a match this Sunday.
Sting comes out to the ring to introduce the contract signing, and asks Bobby Roode and Austin Aries to come out and join him in the ring. Both men come out to the ring and Aries puts the belt on the table and sits down, and then Roode goes off on Sting for telling him that he has an attitude problem. He has a problem with the line in the contract where he won’t get another shot at Aries for as long as he holds the title if he loses this weekend, and he thinks it’s because Sting has had a problem with him since day one. Sting has always tried to stick it to him and one up him, and even after Aries’ fluke win last month, he’s still trying to one up him. Unless Sting makes some changes this weekend, there’s not going to be a main event this weekend, and Roode tosses the contract onto the table.
Aries says he’s tired of listening to Roode piss and moan because, for a man who’s so convinced that Aries’ win was a fluke, he’s awfully concerned about a rematch. Roode knows that Aries has his number, and since he doesn’t want to give Roode any more reasons to complain, he can toss the contract out and add a new stipulation where he’ll waive his right to a rematch if he loses, so this weekend will be a winner take all match and their one last confrontation. Sting asks Roode to shake on it, and it looks like everyone is in agreement. They do the obligatory kicking over of chairs and get ready to go at it, but instead, Roode sticks his hand out and they shake on it. Aries grabs his belt and holds it up in Roode’s face, so Roode throws his water in Aries face and strolls off.

The sound was out at the start of the show, but Austin Aries and Bobby Roode and Kenny King and Zema Ion were brawling around the Impact Zone. Earl Hebner corralled the four men into the ring.
Austin Aries and Kenny King vs. Bobby Roode and Zema Ion
Aries and Roode started the official match but Roode quickly tagged Ion into the match. Aries got the better of Ion and worked him over as he stared a hole through Roode. King and Aries continued to tear into Ion and they worked a series of quick tags to keep him on their side of the ring. Roode managed to drag King out of the ring at one point and he rammed him into the apron. Ion followed with a dive on King and the heels took over the action.
Back from the break, King got a hope spot but Roode and Ion managed to keep him off of his feet. The heels continued their assault. Aries eventually had enough and charged the ring to take out Roode. King followed with his finisher on Ion for the 1-2-3.
Winners: Austin Aries and Kenny King

Sting made his way to the ring. Sting announced that he was filling in for Hogan as GM while Hogan recovered. Sting called out Aces and Eights but Aries came out instead. He warned Aces and Eights that if they showed up tonight, they would have to deal with him. Angle came out and said he wants to fight Aces and Eights too.
Bobby Roode joined the brouhaha, slowly, and he said that he knows who is behind all of the attacks. Roode blamed Storm for the attacks because he’s been out of the title picture for almost a year. I guess Roode forgot Lockdown.
Storm ran out and attacked Roode from behind. The two brawled into the ring. Eventually, Angle pulled Storm off and Roode made his escape.
Backstage, Aries revealed who’s going to face Zema Ion for the X Division Championship. They each made their case to Aries. Aries kicked Zema Ion out of the room and the wrestlers went back to bickering.
Sting spoke lighting fast backstage about Aces and Eights with Austin Aries. Sting told Aries to make some cuts in the X-Division.
Backstage, Aries cut Rashad Cameron first for saying nothing but Rashad Cameron Movement over and over. Aries continued his cuts backstage and he asked guys why they deserved the shot. Dutt complained about his shoulder and hairspray for why he lost Ultimate X. King said he has the side, speed, charisma, and the good looks. He said he’s the man to fill Aries’ shoes. Darsow said he brings an aggressive dominance to the X Division.
Aries said the X-Division is about flash and pretty, though, so Darsow was eliminated due to his style.
Zema Ion vs. Kenny King for the X-Division Championship
King took control early but Ion managed to turn the tide. Ion worked over King’s neck with chokes and rest holds. Ion hit a tilt-o-whirl facebuster for a near fall.
King made his comeback and hit a corkscrew dive to Ion on the floor. Ion got his hairspray and distracted the referee. Bobby Roode ran down and attacked King while he stood on the apron.
Ion ran over and covered the fallen King for the pinfall victory.
Zema Ion defeated Kenny King to retain the X-Division Championship.
Austin Aries ran out and attacked Bobby Roode.
Aces and Eights ran out and attacked Angle after the match. Austin Aries, Sting, AJ Styles, and James Storm ran out to fight off Aces and Eights. When Storm came out Aces and Eights booked it from the ring without confrontation. Tenay announced next week we will see Kurt Angle vs. James Storm in a BFGS match.

We go backstage to Austin Aries as the camera man asks Aries about Bobby Roode. Aries says that dropping someone on their head and pinning them 1-2-3 isn’t a fluke, and he starts showing off his nice threads when a hand of Aces & Eights falls out of his cape. Aries doesn’t seem worried, and says he trumps them too.
TNA World Champion Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode
They start brawling right off the bat, Roode gets 1 off a shoulderblock and slaps Aries in the head while calling him a fluke. Aries takes him down with an armdrag, slaps his head around, and tries for the Last Chancery, but Roode makes it to the ropes, so Aries headbutts him in the back until the referee forces the break. Roode counters a roaring elbow attempt and goes for the Crippler Crossface, but Aries gets to the ropes before the move is completed and goes to the floor. He shoulderblocks Roode through the ropes, comes over the top rope with a rolling senton, and comes off the ropes with a pumping elbow. Roode goes out to the floor to try and get some space, but Aries comes off the apron with a double axhandle as we go to commercial.
We’re back, and Roode knocks Aries off the top rope and sends him tumbling to the floor as we go right back to commercial!
Okay, we’re back again and Roode is choking Aries in the corner with his boot. Roode with a backbreaker for 2, then whips Aries into the corner and charges right into his boots. Now Aries charges Roode, but gets caught in a spinebuster for 2. Aries tries the ropes again, but Roode with a back elbow and he motions that he’s taking his title back. Aries starts to fire back on Roode and they trade chops in the middle of the ring, then forearms, then Roode again counters the roaring elbow to a Crippler Crossface attempt, but this time Aries slips out of that and catches Roode in the Last Chancery. Roode with a big clothesline for 2 and then he sets Aries on the top rope and picks him up for a superplex, but Aries hits knees to the head to force Roode to set him back down, then he boxes Roode’s ears to send him tumbling backward into the ring and comes off the top rope with a missile dropkick. IED in the corner and he goes for the brainbuster, but Roode blocks and counters to the Crippler Crossface and he has Aries trapped right in the middle of the ring. Aries rolls Roode to his back for 2, then hits the roaring elbow and tries to clothesline Roode to the floor, but Roode doesn’t make it quite over, so Aries just gets a running start and dumps Roode outside before following him with a heat seeking missile through the ropes. Aces & Eights come out and jump Aries, and the match is over.
Winner: Austin Aries by DQ
Roode is sitting in the corner looking as confused as anyone, then gets up with a big smile on his face as he sees Aries getting stomped out in the corner. He thinks he’s got some new friends and sticks his hand out, but the leader decks Roode in the face and the group stomps him down as well. Roode and Aries are both taking a vicious gang beating as we go off the air, and it seems the mystery will continue for at least another week.

Austin Aries comes out saying that he’s had a great week, and it’s awesome to wake up and be the new World Heavyweight Champion. This is a great personal accomplishment, and he proved everyone wrong because nobody ever thought he would get there, and this is a great moment not just for himself and the fans, but for the professional wrestling industry.
The crowd starts chanting his name, so he tells them all to be quiet so he can hear himself talk. Wrestling runs in cycles between down periods and boom periods, and for the last year or so there’s been a buzz and an energy around Impact Wrestling, and wrestling fans are ready for the next boom period. He’s the man to lead the company there because his win at Destination X was bigger than this company. He got phone calls and text messages from people in movies, sports, and even “World Champions” from other companies, and he was asked in a recent interview how important titles were, and he says they’re only as important as the man who holds it, so now the TNA World Title is the most important in professional wrestling because he’s the best wrestler in the best wrestling company in the world. The crowd is really going nuts for this speech, but now Bobby Roode’s music hits and…well, here he comes.
Aries says he knows Roode is used to coming out here whenever he wants, but he’s not the champion anymore, so what does he want? Roode comes down to the ring with a frantic look on his face and grabs a microphone, but can’t seem to get his thoughts out because he’s too angry to finish a sentence. Finally he’s able to spit out a single word: fluke. Roode leaves in a huff, but Aries says he has three words for him: new World Champ.

Hulk Hogan and Austin Aries spoke inside Hogan’s office. Hogan pointed to the X Division Title belt that was on a table and said he needs it by the end of the night. Hogan said he needs Aries to make a statement in the ring on Sunday. Hogan said they need Aries to get them to the promised land. Aries said everyone should jump on his back.
Roode entered the ring wearing a suit with the TNA Title belt draped over his shoulder. He looked Sabin up and down while walking behind him. He said it was a sad, emotional story. He said that watching Sabin fight back tears and the whole thing was pathetic. Roode said all of the X Division wrestlers are pathetic.
“All you X Division wrestlers are the same,” Roode said. “You risk it all each and every night and at the end of the day you get no reward.” Roode noted that the poster boy of the X Division will challenge him for the TNA Title at Destination X. He said Aries will have his career ended just like that.
“Or just like this,” Roode said before kicking Sabin’s crutch out from under him. Sabin fell to the mat. Roode taunted him. Sabin took swings at Roode from the mat. Aries ran out and grabbed a crutch. Roode fled from the ring and jawed at Aries while backing up the ramp.
Video footage aired “from last week” of Austin Aries talking to the cameras while riding a bike. He said he wasn’t blessed with genetics and size, but he dedicated himself by doing what it takes to be the best. He said that while Roode has been winning matches with beer bottles, he’s been winning with brainbusters. Footage shifted to Aries walking on the beach. He said that he can’t rest on his laurels until he wins the TNA Title.
Backstage, Austin Aries and Kenny King hugged. King said it would be an honor to fill the big shoes that Aries leaves. The camera guy asked if Aries still intends to relinquish the title. Aries questioned what the guy meant. He said he will do so by the top of the hour.
Austin Aries’ music played and he headed to the ring. “Robert, Bobby, Bob,” Aries started. He said Roode thinks he can crash the party and dictate how the show goes. He said maybe he can because he’s the champion, but he should enjoy the last three days of that privilege because he’s going to lose the title on Sunday. The fans started a “Yes” chant. “Enough,” Aries said. “We got the point.”
Aries said he had three options. A. He could tuck his tail and keep his title. B. He could calmly hand the title to Hogan and wait for Sunday. He said Option C is that Roode can remove him from his ring. Aries took his jacket off and said Sunday is the last day that Roode will have the TNA Championship, and said they should do this right now. Roode took his jacket off and Aries took his shirt off.
Aries and Roode jawed at one another. Roode said Austin isn’t worth it. Aries talked to Hogan, but spotted Roode coming at him from behind with the title belt. Aries ducked the TNA Title belt shot, and then struck Roode with the X Division Title belt. Aries held up both titles briefly. He handed Hogan the X Division Title and the show went off the air with Aries holding up the TNA Title with one hand, while Hogan raised his other hand.

Aries stood in the ring with the X-Division Championship hanging from the ropes. Aries said his decision wasn’t an easy one. He said he defeated all it had to offer and even those beyond his division, but he wanted to make sure he still honored the title when he let it go. Aries recounted the new Destination X stipulation with the X-Division Title.
Aries said his days as the champion are numbered, but there would be a tournament held at Destination X to determine the new champion. Aries talked about how he went from earning a contract last year to earning a shot at the heavyweight championship at destination X this year. Bobby Roode’s music interrupted Aries.
Roode made his way to the ring. Once there, Roode said that he couldn’t get over how overconfident Aries was. Roode showed Aries the title and he referred to it as the real heavyweight championship. He referred to it as the most important thing in the industry and he said he made it so.
Roode referenced the twelve participants in the BFGS and how they are earning a shot at his title. He said Aries only got his shot at the PPV because of Hulk Hogan. Roode declared “Option C” a premature failure and he said he will make sure it is a failure at Destination X. Roode called Aries a kid and told him to get out of his ring.
Aries said it’s his ring and he knocked Roode’s mic out of his hand. Aries told Roode to make him leave. The two jawed off mic before Roode left the ring with a smirk.
